She goes to...Milos, Greece

Gorgeous sunsets, delicious food and wine, medieval villages, ancient monasteries, pink sand beaches, white sand beaches, stone beaches, volcanic rock beaches and more beaches are just a few of the things you’ll want to explore on a summer trip to Greece. We’ve been collecting a few favorites here and there – hotels, restaurants, sights and the like – and hope these recommendations will light a fire in you to book your travel.

Hidden Gem...Island of Milos

With over 70 beaches, each enclosed by rugged cliffs and lapping, blue waves, Milos is a sun-seeker’s paradise – but that’s not all the island has to offer. Just a short walk beyond the beaches lie ancient catacombs, castles, amphitheatre ruins and Papafragas’ aquamarine swimming hole. Meander through the island’s labyrinthine capital, Plaka, or head north-east to Pollonia, for harbour-side restaurants and wineries.

She stays at...

Skinopi Lodge is a hideaway set right above the tiny fishing village within the protected archeological area of the Ancient City of Milos. Built on a slope the retreat offers sweeping views over the Aegean sea and absolute tranquility. The lodge is committed to preserving the spectacular natural environment of the island and the local culture and traditions that complement it.

Designed to blend in with the landscape Skinopi offers simplicity and elegance and the perfect base for exploring the amazing natural beauty of the island while living in understated luxury.

She dines at... Medusa Restaurant

Medusa sits right on the edge of the sea in the quiet, old fishing village of Mandrakia. A local tavern, this spot is one where you can easily waste away an afternoon or evening filling up on octopus, grilled sardines and local specialties like Milos’ pitarakia milou (cheese pies).

She packs...

Shell necklaces layered 3 at a time and a breezy oversized white silk shirt,  to take her from the poolside to sipping cocktails at sunset. A black maxi shirt dress is the go to for island hoping on a boat and long lunches by the sea, and she paires hers with black leather sandals and an oversized hat.
